Excellent Board for parents. I have a 5 year old boy who is bright and curious and I am constantly told by his teacher that he is much too talkative and active. I was at an education conference in October with my good friend who happens to be an elementary school teacher. I was very fortunate to see an Ablechild Booth and had the pleasure of meeting one of the parents who started this group. She gave me a ton of information and I have to say that God must have been with me that day. I walked out knowing much more than when I went in. I wound up submitting this information to my son's teacher and haven't heard anything more about Jerad's talking or overactiveness again. Imagine that. It just goes to show you that teachers can work with children without labeling them and drugging them. Thank you Ablechild!

I would never want my message board advertised on a forum that advertises psychiatric drugs for children!

Great group! I live in Miami Florida and have been in contact with their chapter here. I was told by my son's school that he needed to be medicated for what they believed he had-ADD. In my opinion, his teacher just wanted him to shut up and stop asking questions. He is one of those kids that always questions whether it is about school work or outside of school, he is always wanting to know why something is the way it is. I wonder what would have happened had Einstein been put on these meds? I do not feel he would have gotten as far as he did.

Their message board is a good one for parents wanting better things for their children. Another good thing about this board is that they do not push health care products or vitamin products at you like so many other non drug boards. You can relax and not feel under the gun to buy a product that only promotes the label ADD.
